Description

Located near the clestial southpole in the Chamaelon  molcular cloud, Cederblad 111 and it surroundings is a very interesting region for astrofotographers and for scientists. The reflection nebula in the middle of the picture is iluminated by the very young T-Tauri star HD 97048. Science observes this dusty region very closely because it obviously produces mostly stars of low mass, which is connected to planetary development. I captured this image by using my hyperstar vers 4 in primary focus of my edge 11 at f 1.9. Processing an undersampled image was a new challenge to me. Especially the stars were not easy to handle. So I did my best and I hope you like it.

CS, Christoph
